Each chef can nominate up to 10 candidate ingredients, and these can be changed up until the ingredient selection time.

At selection time the system will join all chefs' nominated ingredients into an single list. Four ingredients are chosen at random from that list, and each chef is randomly assigned to course 1, course 2, dessert, or drinks.

After selection there is a 24 hour period during which any chef can veto ingredient(s) or assigned courses. Each time a chef uses a veto, the countdown is reset to 24 hours.

Each chef gets 5 vetos. If you veto an ingredient, it is replaced by an ingredient other than the 4 currently selected. Vetoed ingredients are returned to the list, and could be re-selected on future vetos.

Once 24 hours has passed without a veto occuring the ingredient and course selections are finalised and no further vetos can be made.
